Each year, the Department of Criminology and the University of Ottawa offer the Chuck Talbot Scholarship to students in the French and English programs who have made remarkable contributions during their field placements. Scholarship candidates were nominated by their field supervisors and were then invited, alongside their classmates, to support the nomination.
This year, eight students were nominated: Ann Potter Haughton (Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, Youth Justice Services), Sara Gebara (John Howard Society of Ottawa), Maiia Petryshyna (Parole Board of Canada), Marianne Leduc (le Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau), Cassandra Barnstaple (Engel & Associates), Delphine Tremblay (l’Établissement de détention de Hull), Myguel Oligny (Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de l’Outaouais, Protection de la jeunesse), and Angélique Lemoine (Agence Sociale Spécialisée de l'Outaouais).
Please join us in congratulating the 2022-2023 Chuck Talbot recipients, Ann Potter Haughton from the Anglophone cohort, and Marianne Leduc from the Francophone cohort!
