Once again, our university community showed its generosity during last month's Virtual Gift Dive. Your donations raised over $13,600 and helped brighten up the holiday season for many children and families in the Ottawa and Gatineau region.

Once again, members of the University community showed their generosity during the virtual Gift Drive that took place last December.

Your donations exceeded expectations, reaching a total of $13,680.50. This helped brighten up the holiday season for many local families.

Gift cards, groceries and personal hygiene products were given to several hundred children and families in need through four partner organizations, the Aylmer Food Centre, the Dalhousie Food Cupboard, the Gloucester Emergency Food Cupboard and the Youville Centre.

The gift drive has been a tradition at the University of Ottawa for 15 years. We had to make some major changes in how we organized it due to health regulations in place to fight the pandemic. Thus, for the first time in its history, the drive took place entirely online, allowing us to continue this tradition and bring happiness to the 540 people who benefitted.

Without your participation, we would never have been able to do it. Thank you again for your generosity and support.
