Hazel Downey is an Administrative Assistant, Community and Communications at the University of Ottawa Centre for Law, Technology and Society.
Hazel Downey is a third-year political science student bringing administrative and policy experience and an interest in law and governance as Lead Clerk from the University of Ottawa Students' Union, as well as sitting as a member on the Board of Governors.
On the technological side, Hazel Downey has always had a fond interest in technology and coding, previously competing in hackathons and exploring the intersection between digital innovation and societal impact. With the goal of becoming a lawyer in the coming years, she seeks to explore the evolving regulatory processes and privacy laws around technology and artificial intelligence.
