Michel Agieris an anthropologist, emeritus research director at IRD, director of studies at EHESS, and member of the “Centre d'étude des mouvements sociaux” (CEMS - CNRS/EHESS/Inserm). His publications include L’Étranger qui vient (Seuil, 2018; Points, 2022) and La Peur des autres. Essai sur l’indésirabilité (Rivages, 2022). With Stefan Le Courant, he co-edited the volume Babels. Enquête sur la condition migrante (Points, 2022).
Michel Agier is one of the 7 holders of this year's Chaire Mobilité francophone.
