Internal funding opportunities
Community-Based Research Grant
The Community-based Research (CBR) grants pilot supports uOttawa researchers in collaborating with community organizations focused on equity-seeking or marginalized groups, facilitating the planning and execution of community-based research initiatives.
Research Development Program (RDP)
The Research Development Program (RDP) provides a competitive edge to University of Ottawa researchers through the provision of direct, short-term funding. This funding enables researchers to conduct research which lays the groundwork for a new and competitive research grant application to the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) or the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).
There are two separate opportunities to the RDP: Seed Funding Opportunity for new researchers and Bridge Funding Opportunity for established researchers.
uoConnect Grant Program
The uoConnect Grant Program is intended to help fund knowledge mobilization events and outreach activities led by uOttawa faculty members and to support our strategic areas of research and knowledge mobilization priorities.
Interdisciplinary Research Group Funding Opportunity (IRGFO)
The Interdisciplinary Research Group Funding Opportunity (IRGFO) funds uOttawa researchers to develop large interdisciplinary research teams.
