Connection technologies

Description

This conference explores the many facets of artificial intelligence in a space for interdisciplinary reflection and dialogue, bringing together specialists from a variety of backgrounds. By combining these diverse perspectives, it aims to better understand the global impacts of AI and to collectively consider ways in which it can contribute, in an informed, inclusive, and equitable manner, to building a shared future.

The conference also foregrounds perspectives from the Francophone world and Indigenous communities, addressing issues of linguistic and cultural diversity, digital sovereignty, and inclusive participation in global AI governance. Through symposiums, panels, research presentations, and artistic performances, the conference seeks to foster dialogue and collaboration toward the development of AI that is responsible, inclusive, culturally respectful, and oriented toward a more equitable and sustainable future.

This 9th edition of the 2026 Bilingual International Conference is co-organized by Professor El Hadji Yaya Koné, Director of the Educational Technology and Distance Learning (ETDL) research group, in collaboration with the AIPDP.

University of Ottawa professors, students, and staff can attend the conference free of charge.
