The Faculty of Social Sciences is proud to announce the appointment of Professor Isabelle Salle to the Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Macroeconomics. This prestigious distinction recognizes the excellence of her research and her commitment to improving public understanding of macroeconomic policies.
As Chairholder, Professor Salle and her team are assessing the strengths and limitations of two cutting-edge experimental methods: laboratory environments and large-scale surveys. These methods are used to validate targeted and inclusive communication tools. The results of their research will be presented in the form of policy recommendations aimed at improving communication between policy-makers and the public.
Through her work, Professor Salle and her team collaborate with decision-makers to develop effective and inclusive communication tools. By making the mechanisms underlying macroeconomic policies more transparent, they are helping to improve public confidence and ensure more effective policies.
The University of Ottawa's Faculty of Social Sciences is proud to support Professor Isabelle Salle in her efforts to revolutionize the understanding and effectiveness of macroeconomic policies. Her appointment to this research chair marks a significant step forward in our commitment to promoting academic excellence and the societal impact of our research.
