On March 31, the uOttawa community will come together once again for a powerful moment dedicated to possibility.
Because sometimes, it only takes one meaningful day to change everything.
“Think back to a moment that shaped your path. Perhaps it was a professor who saw your potential, a friendship that sustained you or a class where you discovered your passion. Now imagine giving that kind of day to someone else.”
That’s exactly what Giving Day makes possible.

Multiply your impact on Giving Day
As faculty members and staff, we see students’ needs every day. And we see the impact generosity can have on their experience. When our campus community joins forces on Giving Day, that impact grows.
- You can multiply your impact through matching opportunities and special challenges. Every gift will be matched, up to $2,000.
- The faculty or service with the most donors will receive a $1,000 bonus for its priority.
- Triple your impact this Giving Day! Gifts made by payroll deduction by midnight March 31 will have their first months contribution matched 3X.
Strong participation across campus also helps boost the impact of Giving Day. When thousands of people give on the same day, those individual acts of generosity build momentum. And that momentum carries students through their degrees and into their futures.
Moments that shape a lifetime
Transformational experiences happen across campus every day — in laboratories, libraries, clinics, studios and classrooms. Those experiences could be breakthrough experiments. Scholarships that ease stress. Mentors who inspire a new direction.
For Anne-Aimée, a first-year PhD student in nursing, donor support has been vital to her research. “This support allowed me to fully dedicate myself to examining the role of nurses in promoting children’s health,” she says.
Her work could influence how families receive care across our communities. It’s a ripple effect that began with a donor’s decision to give.
Stories like hers show how generosity today becomes progress tomorrow.
Your day to make a difference
Last year, hundreds of supporters proved what we can achieve when we act together. This year, we can go even further.
On March 31, you can multiply your impact, inspire others and help create defining moments for the next generation. A single day of generosity can echo for decades in the lives of students, helping them become leaders, researchers, caregivers and change-makers.
Think back to the day that set your own journey in motion.
Now, help create that day for someone else.
