The University of Ottawa Library has launched a space dedicated to E-sports and games: The Gaming Hub.

The Gaming Hub

The Gaming Hub at Morisset Library (room 144) offers a space for student gamers and researchers, supporting both competitive and recreational gaming. Open to all uOttawa students, it will:

  • Support video game research through collaborations with academic institutes.
  • Raise awareness and train students in healthy gaming practices, prepare for professional careers, educate on players’ rights and more.
  • Involve students from the uOttawa Esports club and the uOttawa Game Dev Club.

Professor Thomas Burelli and Digital Literacy Librarian Mish Boutet were recently featured on Radio Canada and CBC Radio respectively, discussing the official launch of the new Gaming Hub.
