In addition to reviewing some helpful note-taking strategies, we will explore the following assistive software:

  • Read&Write is a literacy support tool designed to enhance reading and writing across a range of platforms. Its most popular feature is text-to-speech using advanced AI voices, among many other features. This tool is particularly beneficial for individuals with learning disabilities, but it can be used by anyone looking to improve their productivity and comprehension.
  • Goodnotes is a note-taking app that allows users to create, organize, and annotate digital notes. It supports handwriting recognition, PDF annotation, and audio transcription.
  • OneNote is a digital note-taking app that makes organization easy, allowing you to click and type anywhere you want, move text around easily, capture voice notes, use tags, collaborate, and more.
  • Otter.ai is an AI-powered tool designed to transcribe meetings, lectures, and conversations in real-time. It captures audio, generates transcripts, and creates summaries, making it easier for users to review key points and action items.
