“There is a need to strengthen women’s rights to land and natural resources, especially in sub-Saharan Africa, to facilitate climate change adaptation and minimize gendered impacts of climate change.

“The role of mining – especially artisanal and small-scale mining – to provide minerals and metals for renewable energy technologies (electric batteries, wind turbines, etc.) and the need to manage the environmental costs and socio-economic impacts of mining as we move towards a just energy transition.”
