The new publishing studio will serve not only as a sales outlet for scholarly, literary and non-fiction works, but also as a showcase for artworks by Canadian artists. It will also serve as a venue for literary gatherings and will be a working space.
Mobilizing research
Knowledge mobilization is at the very heart of the University of Ottawa Press’ mission. We strive to enrich intellectual and cultural life through the pursuit of excellence in scholarly and literary publishing, in a context of globalization and knowledge valorization.
What distinguishes University of Ottawa Press from other publishing houses is the peer-review process and the work of committees under the guidance of the Editorial Board, which approves each scholarly work published by Les Presses, thus conferring a seal of quality.
Finally, the University of Ottawa Press offers digital books via a new multilingual platform called Bookshelf. This provides access to accessible, customizable reading and a read-aloud function.
