Understanding Oneself and Others
WHEN: Wednesday, April 10 from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
WHERE: Social Sciences Building, Room FSS4004; in-person.
We regularly have trouble understanding others. In fact, we often struggle to understand our own selves. But what exactly are the obstacles to understanding oneself and others and how can we best overcome them? (In English)


Why Federalism Matters: Policy Feedback, Institutional Variation and the Politics of Trade Policy-Making in Canada and Germany

Governing Online Harms

Our expert panel will unpack the key provisions from their various, sometimes complementary, others opposing, perspectives, for a lively conversation with thought leaders who took part in the long process that led to this much awaited bill. (In English)


Les Journées Montfort

A national conference bringing together French-speaking physicians and health professionals to discuss current health issues. (In French)


IPAC-NCR and Center on Governance Conference
WHEN: Saturday, April 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
WHERE: Social Sciences Building, Room 4004; in-person.
Participants will be treated to a panel discussion on the governance and regulatory initiatives for the use of AI in the public sector and into the production of decision-oriented metadata built from public sector performance evaluations. (In English and French)


ACFAS Conference
WHEN: May 13 to 17, 2024.
WHERE: University of Ottawa.
The University of Ottawa will host the 91st Annual ACFAS Conference, where more than 6,000 participants are expected for the biggest scientific conference of the Francophonie, in which over 300 sessions on various research disciplines will be presented.
