To mark the 10th anniversary of the Schulich Leaders scholarship program, two former uOttawa recipients currently working in STEM discuss their university experience and how the award helped shape their career paths.

In some ways, Allison Caverly birthed two babies during her professional MBA at uOttawa — her son Owen and a new purpose-driven management consulting firm, FemForce. The firm was founded by Allison and her classmates Carla De Ciccio and Sarah Dion-Marquis, all of whom will be graduating from the Telfer School of Management at Fall Convocation October 30.

When the COVID-19 lockdown began, Namrata Bagaria spent her time much like everyone else: on Zoom. But the nature of her video calls was slightly more unique: she was calling seniors from Ottawa and Toronto, new friends who joined Bagaria to exercise alongside YouTube videos and to sip coffee while chatting.
