Event Description
In Canada, when the going gets tough, the tough turn to government for help. We have a history of depending on fiscal policy to bail us out economic hard times – for good reason. But now, we are in era of polycrisis, putting strain on the country’s balance sheet.
Senior fellow Heather Scoffield, a longtime journalist and now CEO of the Canadian Tax Observatory, will walk us through some of the numbers and issues requiring a rethink of the role of fiscal policy.
