Robert Porter was the Communications Coordinator of The eQuality Project at the University of Ottawa Centre for Law, Technology and Society.

The eQuality Project, a seven-year research partnership co-led by Jane Bailey and Dr. Valerie Steeves, funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, and hosted at the Centre for Law, Technology and Society. The project explores issues of (in)equality in networked spaces, with a particular focus on youth privacy and technology-facilitated violence.

Before accepting the role of Communications Coordinator, Robert Porter worked as the Project Manager. He has also worked for some non-profit community organizations and several independent start-ups on a variety of projects including project coordination and management, grant and proposal writing, film editing, and photography. He completed a Bachelor of Arts (History and Greek & Roman Studies) at Carleton University in 2011, and a Master of Arts (Public History) at the University of York (UK) in 2015.
