CRECS Noon-Hour Colloquium on February 15 with Patrick Labelle
“Navigating the world of knowledge synthesis typology”
Feb 15, 2024 — 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Abstract:
A knowledge synthesis project aims to collect evidence to understand an issue, answer a research question, and guide practice or policy. One of the main challenges for a team undertaking such a project is to select the appropriate review type and methodology. This presentation will provide an overview of various types, including systematic reviews, scoping reviews, umbrella reviews, meta-analyses, and others. The strategies for selecting the best review type will be discussed, and participants will be encouraged to share their experiences.
We encourage you to share this virtual event with your students and colleagues!
