CRECS Partnership Day Picture of Room with People

On March 31, we hosted our first Partner Engagement Day !

We were thrilled to welcome representatives from over 20 community organizations to discuss with our principal researchers and other uOttawa colleagues about their experiences working in partnership with us. Collectively, we identified strategies to strengthen collaboration, which allows us to grow as a centre, and better align our work with our partners' needs and priorities. We are grateful to the many individuals whose contributions made this event such a success.

We wish to thank Dr. Marie-Eve Sylvestre, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ottawa, whose presence at the event underscored the importance of community-university partnerships and the university’s ongoing efforts to prioritize and strengthen these collaborations. We extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Martine Lagacé, Associate Vice-President of Research, Promotion and Development, for her kind and insightful opening remarks, which helped set the tone for a day of reflection and collaboration.

We would also like to thank our organizing committee, Irene Vitoroulis, Katherine Moreau, Kaylee Eady, Erin Maloney, Claire Kendall and Ann Collins. Through their hard work and commitment, they played an essential role in making this event possible.

We are incredibly grateful to our partners and researchers. Your contributions truly made this day meaningful, and we look forward to building on the insights you shared as we continue to strengthen our partnerships and shape the future of our centre.
