We are pleased to invite you to the launch of the new IPSA Companion to Political Science: A Practical Introduction to the 200 Most Important Concepts (Springer, 2025), co-organized by the Centre on Governance and the Konrad Adenauer Research Chair in Empirical Democracy Studies at the University of Ottawa.
About the Event
Fifteen years after the publication of the International Encyclopedia of Political Science, IPSA has released this open-access reference book examining the 200 most central concepts in political science over the past decade. Written by leading scholars from around the world, this comprehensive volume offers an accessible and up-to-date guide for researchers, students, and practitioners alike.
Join us to meet co-editors Daniel Stokemer and Audrey Gagnon, as well as contributing authors André Lecours, Felix Mathieu, Achim Hurrelmann and Eric Champagne.
This event will also mark the launch of a new collaboration between the Centre on Governance and the Konrad Adenauer Research Chair in Empirical Democracy Studies, establishing a new Democratic Governance axis co-led by Audrey Gagnon and Daniel Stokemer.
Dr. Kim Fontaine-Skronski, Executive Director of IPSA, will deliver the opening remarks, and Professor Luc Turgeon from the School of Political Studies will offer a commentary on this initiative.
This event will be held in a bilingual format.
