Congratulations to HRREC Fellow Omid Milani, Ph.D., who has been selected as an Artist-in-Residence with the Edgelands Institute. This residency invites artists to critically engage with themes of urban social contracts, digital security, and community coexistence.
During the residency, Omid will collaborate with the Edgelands team, draw on their extensive research archive, and create original artwork exploring the intersection of security, digital environments, and our capacity to live together. The resulting work will be featured in an upcoming art book and showcased at a pop-up exhibition in Geneva.
“I am delighted to join the Edgelands Institute community,” he said. “This residency offers a unique opportunity to bring human rights scholarship and artistic practice into conversation—reimagining how societies negotiate security, technology, and trust.”
We look forward to following Omid’s creative process!
