The Government of Canada has announced the list of Canada Research Chairs, including four awarded to University of Ottawa professors.
Three of these chairs are renewals, while the fourth is a brand new chair. Researchers work in various fields, including health sciences, social sciences, engineering and education. Their work will make a concrete impact on society, as it deals with major issues such as physical and mental health, equitable care, ethics and emerging technologies, and youth violence prevention.
New Canada Research Chair
- Xiangfei Meng, Faculty of Health Sciences
Canada Research Chair in Population Health Data Science (Tier 2)
Professor Meng is also receiving support from the John R. Evans Leaders Fund for her research infrastructure.
