Last year, the University of Ottawa, The Ottawa Hospital and its Research Institute (OHRI) formed a new partnership to foster a more collaborative and impactful health research community in our city. Learn about some of the priorities of this partnership as outlined in the recently created action plan. 

uOttawa chemistry professor Robert Ben and his colleague at the University of Alberta are commercializing a novel cryopreservation technology that will better protect stem cells and tissue samples from damage caused during the freezing and thawing process required for storage.

The Faculty of Engineering’s new Smart Connected Vehicles Innovation Centre, located in uOttawa’s Kanata North campus, will focus on problem-solving issues related to the connectivity, physical and cyber security, decision making and sustainability of autonomous vehicles.

While some students are at the halfway mark of their first term, others are putting on their gowns for fall 2022 convocation. On November 6, some 2,000 students will receive their diplomas and celebrate an unforgettable moment. Let’s meet some new graduates and find out about their journeys.
