Research Data Management Strategy

The University of Ottawa is committed to cutting-edge research, taking on real-world problems and engaging in impactful interdisciplinary research. Fostering excellence in research data management is an important contributor to this goal.

Research Data Management at uOttawa

In response to the release of the Tri-Agency Research Data Management Policy, the University of Ottawa established the RDM Advisory Group in 2021 to develop an institutional RDM strategy that will further enhance uOttawa’s position as a leading research institution, with a commitment to excellence in the management of all elements of research including RDM.

The RDM Advisory Group will draw on previous work conducted by the RDM Working Group, which was initiated in 2018 and brought together the Office of Research and Innovation (OVPRI), Information Technology (IT), and the Library, with researcher representation from various faculties. The Working Group undertook an exploration of current gaps and services and coordinated a response to the Draft Tri-Agency Policy on Research Data Management
