This Tier 1 CRC position responds to the priorities of the university’s Indigenous Action Plan (2025-2030) (PDF, 4.19 MB) including for recruiting and retaining Indigenous scholars and promoting campus-wide indigenization via research and teaching excellence. The successful candidate will lead a world-caliber interdisciplinary research program and will support uOttawa’s goal to increase innovation, intensity and impact of research in uOttawa’s Strategic Areas of Research. While all Indigenous scholars will be considered, priority is given to scholars who engage in research with and to benefit Indigenous communities (Indigenous-focused research). In this case, demonstrated connections to Indigenous community or communities and active research engagement is required.
