It is a pleasure for me to be part of the dynamic and experienced team of the Graduate Studies Office (BES) under the leadership of Terry Kruyk since 2020.
I commit to ensuring the quality of the graduate programs and to opening innovative pathways for the future that inspire me and will serve as my compass for the coming years.
The Faculty of Social Sciences is experiencing a vibrant atmosphere under the leadership of our Interim Dean, Nathan Young. Higher education is also experiencing this momentum. Indeed, its 1807 master's and doctoral students spread across various disciplines in both official languages shine both here and elsewhere with unique projects under the guidance of high-caliber professors. Indeed, all the units offer programs and initiatives that do honor to our Faculty and our University. I have often had the privilege of traveling to several countries, visiting various universities, and I can tell you, without a shadow of a doubt, that we have exceptional programs. I intend, during my term, to highlight these.
During my mandate, on top of many revitalizations to courses and program structures, we’ve introduced; 12 Microprograms, a revamped Graduate Diplomain Public Management and Governance, 2 new Master’s created (Master of ArtsSecurity in Defence Studies and Master of Arts Psychedelics and Consciousness Studies), 5 new course based programs introduced, direct admission with COOP to our MA programs, the integration of the Institute Environment’s program within the Faculty and the creation of a Doctorate in Anthropology.
At the heart of our initiatives is the concern for excellence and innovation, but also for the well-being of our students from diverse backgrounds and the stakeholders affiliated with our mandate. A renewed mandate with pride, knowing I am surrounded by passionate and dedicated people.
Looking forward to meeting you and exchanging ideas.
