ARCHIMEDES, the Advanced Research Collaboration for Health Integration, Medical Exploration, and Data Synthesis, is a national multi-modal health data platform designed to transform how researchers collect, manage, analyze, and share health information.

As part of the Brain-Heart Interconnectome Canada First Research Excellence Fund (CFREF) research program, ARCHIMEDES was developed through a partnership between the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, McGill University, and the University of Ottawa.

ARCHIMEDES brings together health-related data from research studies across Canada in one secure place to enable better data sharing and more advanced analyses. By making it easier to study disease connections, test results, and other types of patient information, ARCHIMEDES helps researchers uncover new insights into health and disease. These discoveries support better prevention, improved treatments, and healthier communities. With strong privacy protections and free access for approved researchers, ARCHIMEDES makes health research faster, safer, and more connected helping discoveries happen that benefit everyone.
