Deadline
There is no deadline for the EFP. Proposals will be considered on an on-going basis.
Proposals must be submitted electronically (in a single PDF file) to:

Requirements
The proposal for the EFP must include the following information:
- A short description of the equipment and its usage (1 page)
- A justification of the request detailing the importance of the equipment for the researcher and other research projects requiring the use of equipment (1 page)
- The maintenance program in place to ensure optimal use of the equipment (max 1 page)
- The list of research projects using the equipment (max 1 page) that includes:
- name of principal investigator
- research project title
- A budget for the entire cost of repair, including all matching fund portions, should they be awarded (1 page)
- At least 2 quotes confirming the cost of the repair
- A confirmation of the researchers’ contribution to the repair (account number)
- Common CV or equivalent
- A copy of the original invoice with the purchase date of the equipment
Each application must be accompanied by:
- A Request for Funds – University Research Committee form (RE form) completed and signed by all parties. This form confirms the researcher’s and the Faculty’s approval of the proposal.
- A written letter of recommendation from the Faculty and/or Department confirming that financial support will be provided in an amount at least equal to the amount being requested of the EFP. The following information should be included in the letter of recommendation:
- The confirmation that the Faculty and/or Department will provide financial support in an amount equal to the amount being requested of the EFP
- The specific dollar amount of matching funds to be provided by the Faculty and /or Department
IMPORTANT NOTE: Application packages must not exceed 15 pages including the RE form, letter of recommendation from the Faculty and/or Department, fund proposal, two quotations, confirmation of the researchers contribution, and C.V. in OCGS Format. Any additional pages will be removed.
