EASY nLC 1000

The Thermo Scientific Nano-Ultra High-Performance Liquid Chromatography system is a split-free, nano-flow liquid chromatography optimized for separating biomolecules such as metabolites and peptides at ultrahigh pressures up to 1000 bar. EASY-nLC 1000 is a fully integrated LC-system with a binary nano-flow gradient pump and a cooled autosampler, switching valves and high precision flow sensors for accurate solvent control before high-pressure mixing. The market leading operating pressure of the EASY-nLC 1000™ system offers a diverse choice of columns and is designed to help researchers achieve top performance in LC-MS. In our lab we use nano HILIC and RF columns for targeting proteomics and metabolomics analysis as well as for untargeted metabolomics.

UltiMate 3000

The Ultimate 3000 HPLC engineered by Dionex is suitable for a wide variety of analyses. This instrument provides excellent chromatographic performance since the integrated autosampler and thermostated column compartment delivers retention time precision and the ability to fine tune backpressure, resolution and speed. With an adjustable gradient delay volume, quaternary or isocratic pump, and excellent flow stability, the automated basic system is perfect for routine applications. The instrument is controlled by the easy-to-use Thermo Scientific Chromeleon Chromatography Data System (CDS) software. UltiMate 3000 is compatible with many columns and offers maximum application flexibility. In our lab we use nano RF columns for proteomics analysis.

The Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Elite is a combination of three mass analyzers: a linear ion trap, a quadupole and an orbitrap. In addition, this instrument comes equipped with an ETD source which is optimal for retaining labile PTMs such as phosphorylation and sulfonation. In addition, the availability of collision-induced dissociation (CID), and higher-energy collisional dissociation (HCD) provides advanced performance for the most challenging research problems. It has applications in proteomics, metabolomics, as well as carbohydrate analysis. In our lab we use this instrument mainly for various types of proteomics analyses

 The Thermo Scientific Q-Exactive Plus is a hybrid mass spectrometer which integrates a quadrupole  and orbitrap mass analyzers. This instrument provides high mass accuracy and resolution that can be used in an array of applications such as metabolite and peptide analyses. In addition, the availability of higher-energy collisional dissociation (HCD) provides enhanced performance for the most challenging research problems. In our lab we use the Q Exactive Plus mainly for targeting proteomics and metabolomics analysis as well as for untargeting metabolomics.

Waters SYNAPT G2 HDMS

The second generation SYNAPT G2 platform from Waters provides a new dimension of performance to drive scientific research. It combines QuanTof™, a quantitative Tof technology, and enhanced High Definition MS technologies (HDMS).  This instrument provides the additional dimension of mobility separation. It enables the differentiation of samples through IMS-MS by size, shape, charge and mass. In our lab we use this instrument for analysis of macromolecules and their interactions, as well as targeted and untargeted metabolomics
